PAG-USBONG: The 76th Founding Anniversary
This year, Lipa City Colleges reached another milestone as it celebrated its 76th Founding Anniversary on November 21 to 23, 2023.

Chaired by the Culture, Sports, Student Activities and Involvements, the celebration opened with a solemn honoring of our visionaries, Dr. Ricardo Bonilla and Dra. Marcela Bonilla, at the LCC Quadrangle led by the Board of Trustees represented by the Founders’ granddaughter, Dr. Marjorie Abiera and her husband, Dr. Joe Vincent Abiera.

At the Carlos Mojares Gymnasium, a thanksgiving mass followed the tribute. The opening program the came next hosted by the CITHM faculty, Mr. Andrho Magabo and CON clinical coordinator, Mr. Eldred Jed Mata. The Vice President for Administration and Corporate Affairs, Dr. Joe Vincent Abiera opened the ceremony with a speech expressing their gratitude and exciting plans for the year’s celebration. The opening program ended with the presentation of the candidates of the search. During the afternoon of the first day, the Preschool and Grade School Department conducted a field demonstration activity involving all elementary students. Right after, the high school and college departments participated into different competitions namely Kan2gether, SayaOne+1, and Tarantanong. Eldred Jed Mata and Joryl Atienza of the College of Nursing placed first in the Kan2gether: Vocal Duet Competition. Nica Lucero and Ishmael Tablante of the Senior High School won the grand prize of the SayaOne+1: Dance Duo Competition. Lastly, the College of Education and Liberal Arts composed of Mr. Carl Kevin Navarrete, Joe Vincent Fernandez, Joselito Deguinon, Duanne Luke Amria Edurise and Maureen Naturilla finished as Champion of the Tarantanong:

A whole day was dedicated for employees to play and enjoy games was held through the initiative of the HR department. The Employees’ Sports Fest opened with a parade from the LCC Quadrangle to the Carlos Mojares Gymnasium. The three-day celebration ended with the coronation of the Scholars’ League’s King and Queen of LCC 2023. It was a back-to-back win for the Senior High School. The reigning King and Queen of LCC 2018, Syrus Dimayuga and Jannah Puno, respectively crowned the new winners, Mycel Garces and Gabriel Nunag.
