International Dance Festival Held During LCC's 76th Year Celebration
Culminating the celebration of the 76th Founding Anniversary of the institution, an ensemble of international dance groups performed in the Carlos Mojares Gymnasium last December 7. The audience composed of students from across the Basic Education to College departments witnessed five (5) performances from five (5) international dance groups namely from Austria, Spain, Indonesia, Poland, and South Korea.

The show featured international culture in dance performance from the participating countries. The International Dance Festival is a show presented by the institution in partnership with the Cultural center of the Philippines, Bayanihan Folk Arts Foundation and the Federation of International Dance Festivals; part of the 17th Fiesta Folkloriada sponsored and hosted by the abovementioned organizations.

Present on the occasion were the members of the LCC Faculty, Staff, and Management Committee. Special guests were also present including one of the members of Bayanihan (The National Dance Company of the Philippines), Ms. Judith Patangco with his family and the Executive Director of Bayanihan, Miss Marielle Benitez-Javellana who received the certificate of appreciation for the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

The directors of each country’s group were also presented their own certificates for gracing the event and taking their time in performing for our students. Dr. Dina Dayon (VPAA) and Sir Aldwin Jose (SSMSLCP Director) represented the institution in the exchange of tokens to all participating countries. The show culminated with a community dance interaction of the international performers and the students in the dance floor.
